The Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition (Panasci TEC) was initiated in 2004 and is funded with a $1 million endowment from the late Henry A. Panasci Jr. (former CEO of Fays Drugs)to facilitate and promote the commercialization of UB-generated technologies. It is designed to bring students from science and technology disciplines together with students from the School of Management to launch new businesses in Western New York.
Panasci TEC awards seed money and business services to the teams that present the best plan for the launch of a new business. The winning team will receive $25,000 in seed capital as well as in-kind services, and the second place team will receive $10,000 in seed capital.
As the competition enters its fourth year, we would like to increase participation. We are seeking participants with innovative ideas in the life sciences, technology and engineering industries to partner with current students or recent graduates from the MBA program at the School of Management.
