Editorial Service Director
GSA provides FREE Editorial Assistance Program to help graduate
students improve the quality of their papers and dissertations.
Editors can help students with grammatical errors, sentence structure,
organization, and other writing techniques. The service requires
students to drop off printed versions of their papers; notifications
for pickups of edited papers are promptly sent via email once a paper
is edited. Turnaround times vary according to the length of the paper
submitted.
Editors do their best to meet deadlines if any, but that should be
treated as a courtesy rather than a binding on the editors. Time
permitting, editors can also occasionally set up appointments and
clarify doubts that students may have.
Please note that editors cannot, in general, be asked to provide much
assistance with content due to their unfamiliarity with the subjects
of most papers they edit. This program should not be intended to
substitute for thesis guidance or a structured teaching program.
Editors cannot be held responsible for omissions, errors or delays
since this is not a paid professional service and editors, who are
also UB graduate students, are not obliged through any contract to
other students directly for their services. However, we assure you the
editors maintain the highest professional conduct and are open to
suggestions. Please be nice and patient to editors and help the GSA
run this service professionally for everybody's best interests.
Applicants for this position should have excellent editing skills as
well as communication skills.
The position is paid on a per diem basis.

the program). The MDRF Director is responsible for promoting the
