MDRF Panel members needed

MARK DIAMOND RESEARCH FUND - PANEL MEMBERS NEEDED!

MDRF grant applications are reviewed by a panel of graduate students.
The panel meetings for the Spring 2006 applications will take place on
March 21 and 22, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 12 panel members are needed - six
for each day. Each panelist receives several complete application
packages to review, as either primary reviewer or secondary reviewer,
as well as the abstract and budget pages for the remaining
applications being reviewed that day. Your commitment would only be
for the one day (and of course the time to read and evaluate the
applications before the meeting).

Co-sponsorship decision

Decision has been reached. ASEAN GSA will commit to co-sponsoring THAI GSA's event with an amount of $50.00. Encumberance form for GSA will be prepared by Sherene & Pauline.

Request for co-sponsorship

We have received a request for co-sponsorship of THAI GSA's upcoming event. Ii is recommend that our club commit to the same amount we did last year which was $50.00. Decision pending committee's feedback.

Early Club Renewal & Recognition

Our club has just received a memorandum from GSA with regards to our ASEAN GSA's early club renewal and recognition for the following academic year, 2006-2007. Treasurer, Pauline has received the paperwork. The deadline for submission of paperwork is Wednesday, March 22nd at 4:00 p.m.

The University Council Elections are to be held online Mar 20-22. The deadline for petitions is Monday February 27. This is to elect the only student representative in the University Council. Any interested grad students should come to GSA office, 310 Student Union, to pick up copies of University Council Roles and Responsibilities, University Council Election Rules and Regulations, Election Timeline, and the petition form.

Electronic copies of the University Council Roles and Responsibilities & University Council Election Rules and Regulations are also available at GSA's website (http://www.gsa.buffalo.edu )starting Friday, Feb 3rd.
