* * * * *Dear Dalai Lama patrons from the UB community and the community at large –
Two months have passed since the University at Buffalo had the unforgettable opportunity to host several programs with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama during his visit to campus September 18-20, 2006. Our campus community, and our broader Western New York community, are still talking about this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
To commemorate this landmark event in the history of our university and our region, UB has prepared a two-volume set of impressively photographed journals that vividly document the unforgettable series of events and the rich diversity of people who participated. More than 300 pages capture the experience.
While many of you have already purchased your books via an earlier notice, I am pleased to be able to post a second notice about this exclusive offer to purchase this beautiful limited-edition commemorative two-book set. www.buffalo.edu/dalai_lama. UB’s Office of Creative Services has put together a dynamic display here to give you a wonderful feel for this impressive retrospective ensemble.
UB is only printing a limited number of this commemorative, two-book set. It is priced at $22.95 per set, plus shipping and handling. We will take delivery of the units early next week, and will have them in the mail to purchasers by December 8th, well in time for the Holidays.
At this time, the only way to buy these commemorative books is on-line (through the internet). You can link to the purchase site through the Dalai Lama site listed above.
If any books remain unsold after Monday, December 8th we will make these available for purchase at the University Bookstore (UB North Campus) beginning Monday, December 11. But please do not wait! We do expect these books to sell out; we will not be issuing a second printing.

The GSA is hosting its monthly Happy Hour tomorrow, Friday November 10th from 5:30 to 9pm at Mojo's (3148 Main St). We welcome all graduate students to come out for free beer, pizza, wings and Karaoke with Rockin' Robin.
